What console power cables can you find in our range?

In our shop, you will find a comprehensive range of power cables dedicated to consoles and multimedia devices. We offer cables with IEC C13 connectors – a classic solution used in PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. These three-core cables with grounding ensure stable power supply even during intense gaming sessions. For owners of PS3 Slim and other compact devices, we have prepared cables with IEC C7 connectors, commonly known as "eights". This type of cable also works well with Blu-ray players, soundbars and decoders accompanying the console.

It is also worth noting that most newer consoles, such as the PS3, PS2 and PS5, have a built-in power supply. This means that a standard power cable, for example with an IEC C13 plug, is sufficient to power them, without the need for additional external power supplies.

The category includes variants with angled and straight plugs, both on the device side and on the mains socket side. Angled plugs make it easier to route the cable behind furniture and allow you to place the console closer to the wall. For complex gaming setups, we offer double cables that allow you to power two devices simultaneously from a single socket — ideal for connecting a console to a television or monitor. Available in various lengths, from a compact 1.5 metres to as much as 10 metres, the cable can be adapted to any room configuration.

Which type of power cable should you choose for your console?

Choosing the right power cable depends primarily on your console model. Xbox Series X, PS5 and most Xbox One models use an IEC C13 connector — you can recognise it by its rectangular, three-pin plug. If you have a PS3 Slim, PS4 Slim or compact audio-visual accessories, you need a cable with an IEC C7 connector with a distinctive figure-eight shape. Not sure about the type of connector? Check the socket on the back of your console — the shape will tell you the right choice.

Choose an angled plug if your console is in a tight space or close to a wall. A straight plug is better if you have easy access to the back of the device. Choose the cable length according to the distance between the console and the socket or power strip. For compact setups, a 1.5-2 m cable is sufficient and will not create excess cable behind the furniture. If the socket is far away, use 5-10 m extension cables — they eliminate the need for additional extension cords. Are you planning a setup with a console and a television? A dual cable will allow you to power both devices with a single cable, reducing clutter behind the TV cabinet.

Power cable – what material should it be made of?

The console power cable must not only be compatible with the connector, but above all provide a safe and stable power supply. Akyga® products use high-conductivity copper wires that minimise energy loss and prevent excessive heating of the cable. Copper with the appropriate cross-section (standard 0.75 mm²) guarantees low resistance even under many hours of load — your console receives stable voltage regardless of the intensity of the game.

Solid PVC insulation protects the cable from typical household hazards: rubbing against furniture edges, being stepped on or repeated bending when reconnecting equipment. Reinforced plugs increase resistance to tearing and breaking in critical areas. Each product meets EU safety standards, has CE marking and complies with the RoHS directive. The manufacturer, Akyga®, guarantees that the materials used in the cables ensure long-lasting and reliable operation for many seasons of intensive use.

Power cables – how to use them in everyday life?

Optimal cable placement begins with selecting the right length. With a basic setup – a console on a TV cabinet, a power strip just behind the furniture – a shorter 1.5-2 m cable eliminates excess cable to tuck away. This configuration keeps the workstation looking neat and tidy, and minimises the risk of accidentally snagging the cable.

Angled plugs solve the problem of limited space. When the cabinet is close to the wall, an angled IEC C7 or C13 plug allows the cable to run parallel to the console housing instead of sticking out perpendicularly. Similarly, a flat plug allows the furniture to be moved closer to the wall. In the living room or children's room, run the cables along the skirting boards or behind the furniture — this will prevent tripping and accidentally pulling the cable out of the console during gameplay. Managing a single workstation with one console does not require complicated solutions, but a properly selected cable significantly increases the comfort of everyday use.

Power cables – how to use them in complex gaming setups?

Extensive gaming stations require a well-thought-out power supply infrastructure. Long cables, 5-10 metres in length, are ideal for large rooms where the power socket is located far from the entertainment area. Instead of connecting several cheap extension cords, a single branded cable of the appropriate length provides fewer connection points and greater safety.

Dual cables are a solution for setups connecting a console to a television, monitor or soundbar. One socket in the power strip powers two devices, reducing the number of cables coming out of the central power distribution point. In professional gaming rooms with multiple AV/PC devices — Xbox Series, gaming monitor, audio system, LED lighting — it is crucial to plan cable routes and select the appropriate length for each cable. For setups with ceiling-mounted projectors or audio systems spread throughout the room, 7.5-10 m extension cables allow for elegant power routing without visible cable chaos. The price of a well-planned electrical infrastructure is an investment in the comfort and safety of an advanced gaming station.

Signal cables – essential for connecting the console to the television

In addition to power cables, signal cables such as HDMI 2.1 Ultra High Speed are a key component of any gaming setup. They are responsible for transferring image and sound from the console to the television or monitor, ensuring the highest quality gaming experience. Our range includes a wide selection of HDMI cables, including models compliant with the latest HDMI 2.1 standard, which allow for 4K@120Hz image transmission and support for VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) technology. This allows you to enjoy smooth and clear images without stuttering or lag.
